Surgery Day

I started my day at the surgery ward. Going to have my ligament reconstruction surgery! How was I feeling? It was a mix of excitement, anxious, scared feelings. But it was alright, I was lying on the theatre bed for like 20 secs before I knocked out. I didn't answer Dr Andrew's question. "Is it okay? Do you need any music to help you relax?". Well, I don't even know if there was any music played after that.

OOps.
When I woke up, I was in this state. Painful and giddy. But I was happy that it was all over.

Thanks for the beautiful basket of flowers, Jie! Love the cute bunny!! I feel much better after having the surprise!

Hugs... smilez..

Thanks everyone for showing concerns about my operation. It's nice to know that there are people who cares about me . :)

Cheers.

Stressed

I am so stressed !!! I need to deal with the problems coming from my injury. I am currently facing these problems.

1. My knee is still quite stiff , need to work on the bending part. I need the surgery due to instability.

2.*** I am going for the surgery to have a proper ACL reconstructed, the surgery is very costly. Can it be claimed fully from the Insurance company?

3. How can I go to school? Do experiments? Will my school work be affected? Can I cope?

I will be so glad if all these problems could be solved at once!!!

Timbre - Chill Out Time

I have been home for two weeks already. Didn't go out with for the first week because of my knee sprain. So happy that I am better now. I decided to go chill out and have fun before the operation and before my knee is swollen again like a pig's trotter. Went to Timbre to chill out for a while and went for supper then go home.

Timber- A cosy corner at Boat Quay. Nice Band they have. Ah... just chilling..

Impressive work by JQ, supposed to be an ugly pic, thanks to the photoshop.

Aren't we innocent like kids??

Haiyo, edit until I look like someone in the 80s' ..

It's time to go home. Have to wake for the Night Rider bus which is $3.00 per ride.
Didn't dare to take a cab at all. The cab fare hike is astonishing. There will be $3.00 surcharge at town area ! Can estimate that I would need 30 bucks to reach home.

Me and zhen lin, waiting for the Bus to come. Smilez..

Hmm.. Preparing the stuff...it's fun ...

After an hour of anticipation, we've got this ..Not pretty , but has content la... Mai hem buay pai..

Not bad ah.. Just that i think it doesn't look like a brownie. Tastes good !

We have decided to cook a meal. Me and Dora as a team. Mom has not allow me to cook at home. So, it's my first time cooking a proper meal. Well, mom has been putting msg in her cooking all along. OOps. But in Jiejie's kitchen, msg is strictly forbidden. Guess, we have to crack our heads to make the food taste good.

Ligament tear

After the fell on Christmas at Utah, my left knee has been swollen for quite some time. The doctor in US has suspected an ACL tear. Gosh, my left leg was so heavy and painful then. After returning to Singapore, I went to a orthopedic doctor in NUH and had a MRI scan and had a new knee brace, call the ranger brace. The brace is much more flexible than the first one i have gotten from the first aid centre at Utah.

The result was out today and my ACL has been torn completely. The doctor says that a lot of people can live without a ACL being repaired, but these people can't do activities that involve a lot of knee movement for example soccer, basketball, skiing. The solution was to have a ACL reconstruction surgery , if not my knee will remain unstable. I still want to dance and try out other sports. I don't want to limit myself to just something. Have to wait for the swelling to go off which would take about two to three months before the surgery.

In the mean time i will have to go on with physiotherapy and walk with my knee brace.

Day 4

Farmer's Market

Oh it's gonna be our last day in LA. We said goodbye to Connie and family and continue the rest of the itinerary before we fly off to Arizona, my Jiejie and Jason's apartment.
Started our day at the farmer's market. Hmm.. Its like a food court with a wide range of cuisines and some other stalls selling dried food , wine and stuff we have never see in Asia.

Connie recommended the french crepe for breakfast as they are really good. Sis ordered a salmon crepe which look really delicious and was delicious! Me and Dora shared the Versailles , a huge waffle with plenty of strawberries. Yummy!

Beverly Hills

This shopping are was made famous as the set of the Hollywood Firm "Pretty women". I have not seen the show though.

The Willshire Boulevard.. Cant you see? It's the green street sign at the left corner.

Look at this comical photo. Who's face looks more shocked? Mine or this stranger?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Getty Centre

So much for the branded stuff. We shall go to somewhere more educational- the Getty Museum. So serene and beautiful is the place. We had a hard time finding the place as the GPS had little mood swing. But here we are , enjoying the serenity of the place. The Getty is surrounded by gardens and herbs. The architecture of the building is a blend of nature with modernism. It is interesting to see that the building is made of fossils. It is a place where you could spend your whole day exploring.

I like this angle of the Getty building very much. It's so magnificent !

The Museum Courtyard Fountains .

Look at the colourful plants. Lifts up my mood instantly!

What are these two crazy people trying to do?
Perhaps they are just too excited to be here..

One of the statues from the Museum. It's the statue of Venus, Goddess of Love. Interesting.

Day 3- continued

Universal Studios

Here we are at the universal studios. Me and sis were just loving each other too much ! Haha..

Oh its me and the globe.

Help me.. I am feeding my head to the sharks.. I am confused.

Universal was not as crowded as Disneyland. No queues needed when we want to take pictures with the cartoon characters, even the for the rides. We had a Jurassic Park ride, The Mummy's ride.

Oh.no. Where's my sis??

Oh there she is ...

Oh.. Sponge Bob..

We were wondering how come there was a strange looking guy over there was so tall, dancing with a women. Take a closer look.. Guess what? It's Frankenstein la..

The day ended quickly before we could explore more of the Universal. I personally find that Disneyland was more fun and colourful while at the Universal there are enriching stuff that relates to the special effects in the movies.
